This is my take on the Hylian Shield from the Legend of Zelda. I wanted to take a more realistic approach and show what it might look like after being in so many battles. I tried to include damage that would have occurred from a multitude of weapons such as swords, clubs, arrows etc. It was a fun unique challenge trying to take something that is usually seen in a more pristine cartoony style and give it a realistic/gritty twist. I wanted to emphasize that this was used heavily to defend the Kingdom of Hyrule!
